TOMII CYCLES Handmade Brass Bell 2026
Handmade Brass Bells by TOMII CYCLES
Custom frame builder from Austin, Texas TOMII CYCLES / TOMII CYCLES. The builder, Nao Tomii, has a unique career, having studied fine art in the U.S. and worked in sculpture and three-dimensional art in Boston, Massachusetts, before starting his own frame building business.
The bicycles he creates have a delicate, nostalgic feel like Indian jewelry, yet are fused with cutting-edge imagery, and the bikes he creates with the motto of making bicycles that are fun to ride have a unique presence.
For the past few years, as well as custom-ordered frames, we have been focusing on the production of beautiful parts such as brass top caps, spacers, and bells.
Each of these brass bells is individually decorated by Nao's hand, and no two are alike.
All parts are patinaed (chemically changed in color) and then waxed, allowing the brass to age and change over time.
This item is not only an accent for your own bike, but also a very nice gift for your loved ones or riding buddies.

Comments from Nao about the maintenance of brass parts
As for the maintenance of brass parts, all parts are waxed after patina (chemical color change). (Because the texture is not good if lacquer or clear coat is applied.)
So the color will change over time (even the grease from your hands will weather it). That is one of the interesting things about brass, but if you wax it regularly (especially after touching it with your hands) or wipe it with a soft cloth, the original patina will last longer. (It's like a jewelry store.) Wax is fine for cars, wood flooring, whatever.
