There is a Japanese proverb that says, "Tade kuu mushi mo sukizuki" (There are insects that eat smartweed by choice).
It is an analogy meaning that just as there are insects that go out of their way to eat the bitter and spicy smartweed, everyone has their own individual preferences.

TADE QUI is a brand that creates cycling-related products for "eccentric" cyclists. I recently had the chance to ride with the designer, Mr. Hosokawa, at WONDER HOPPER, where we talked about his products and cycling. Here, I would like to introduce products that are carefully crafted by the hands of someone who truly embodies this spirit (produced through home-based manufacturing where Mr. Hosokawa does everything from pattern-making to sewing himself).

*Chromoly frames recommended (may not be compatible with carbon bikes)
*Cable guides or other parts may interfere with the attachment area
*Cannot be installed on frames with cables running along the top of the top tube

What is CORDURA®︎ 1000D MIL-SPEC?

CORDURA is a nylon fiber manufactured by the American company INVISTA.

It is said to have approximately seven times the strength of standard nylon. The back of the fabric is PU-coated, providing excellent water resistance.

*The PU coating on the back may peel off due to hydrolysis depending on usage and storage conditions

CORDURA®︎ 1000D (denier) is a highly robust fabric woven from CORDURA yarn weighing 1kg per 9,000 meters. It is synonymous with CORDURA and is known as the "Classic" line.

Although primarily supplied for military use, its properties make it an undoubtedly ideal fabric for bikepacking.

Compared to 500D, it is less lightweight and waterproof, but offers superior durability in exchange. We recommend 1000D for those who prioritize ruggedness above all else.
