The "CRISPER," a new outer cable developed jointly by SimWorks and Nissen Cable, builds upon the reliability of previous stainless steel outer cables and was created as an option for users seeking more delicate handling and high-precision shifting and braking performance.

With modern 11-13 speed drivetrains and mechanical disc brakes, the precision of the inner wire and outer cable directly impacts feel. CRISPER minimizes "stroke loss" (operation loss due to compression) by increasing the thickness of the inner coil and narrowing the winding pitch. This allows lever movement to be transmitted more accurately, making precise gear adjustments smoother and providing a sharper lever feel when braking.

Even as electronic shifting and hydraulic brakes become mainstream, SimWorks cherishes "tactile fingertip response and a pleasant ride feel" for riders who love mechanical systems. CRISPER is positioned not as an upgrade to previous models, but as a "refined option" to meet higher demands.

While outer cable coils are generally made of iron, Nissen Cable uses stainless steel to ensure rust resistance, finishing them with a transparent coating. A polyethylene inner liner inside the coil makes the lever pull lighter. The shift version has an outer diameter of 4mm and is compatible with 1.2mm inner wires.

Considering full-outer cable frame designs and the need for diverse cable routing to avoid interference with bags or racks, SimWorks has adopted a 3-meter length instead of the standard 2-meter specification, ensuring you rarely have to worry about running short during assembly.

• Before installation, leave the outer cable straight for half a day to a full day to allow for initial compression before use.
• Use an outer cable guide or a high-precision wire cutter for cutting.
• After cutting, remove burrs from the coating and coil, and clear the hole in the inner liner tube.
• Apply fluorine-based or silicone-based oil to the inner cable.
