Adjustable shift tension, fewer moving parts mean they're less likely to break, easier to adjust, and offer flexibility in the unlikely event of a mechanical issue. They're perfect for touring anywhere on the planet, or for cycling with friends.
You can also combine it with the Thumb Shifter Base Mount (MTB) to customize your Advent X or SWORD to flat bars and thumb shifters.
