This saw guide is an open-clamp type and lightweight construction, so the tool can be slid on and worked without removing the fork column or handlebars from the bike. This may not seem like a big deal at first glance, but it works great on bikes with interior wire routings from the handlebars to the head tube.
Of course, it can also be attached to a vise to cut parallel while holding it securely in place.
