【SIDI】This is sixty snake.

Today, I’d like to introduce the “Sixty,” a model created to commemorate SIDI’s 60th anniversary.
Among the lineup, the limited-edition colorway features a snake-skin pattern aptly named “Snake.”

Speaking of "Snake," it brings to mind the METAL GEAR series. According to a Wiki search, because hardware limitations at the time made it impossible to create games with flashy gunfights and combat scenes, the creator opted for the counterintuitive approach of focusing entirely on hiding from enemies.

As it happens, here at Circles, we only stocked the Snake color of the Sixty.
This philosophy of carrying only the most compelling items—could this be our own "counterintuitive approach"!?

(Today's punchline)

Getting back on track, did you know that SIDI originally started out dealing in mountaineering boots before moving into cycling and motorcycle footwear?

Looking at the Sixty, the first thing that strikes me is how sleek it is for a SIDI shoe.

As mentioned earlier, since they also make motorcycle shoes, they often prioritize protective features, giving them a rather bulky image. However, the Sixty has been stripped down in the pursuit of "lightness," moving away from traditional SIDI high-end models.

To see just how light it is, I compared the weight to the QUOC Night (which uses laces).

Comparing a single size 40 shoe, the NIGHT weighed 256g while the Sixty came in at 253g—even lighter than a lace-up shoe.

The secret to this lightness lies in the use of the new Tecno-4 Push dial system. A single buckle provides a secure fit across the entire mid-foot. It can be opened and closed with one touch, and while there is only one dial, it securely envelops your foot.

Reducing it to a single dial not only contributes to the weight reduction but also offers the advantage of being less prone to breakage.

In fact, when I was a student, I wore SIDI shoes for racing, and I have a strong impression that the dials were durable and hard to break. Even after a crash caused the buckle to scrape, it continued to function.

SIDI also has a solid range of replacement parts available, which is reassuring because you can swap them out right away.

As it’s a high-end model, the sole is stiff, but I feel it has a certain amount of flex to it. Also, because it lacks the heel cup reinforcement found on SIDI’s high-end "WIRE" model, it’s stress-free enough for long rides. While this type of model is ideally suited for racing, I’d actually love for you to use it for touring as well.

Although various features have been omitted, the shoe’s hold is very secure, meaning it transmits power purely and efficiently. Carbon soles can be daunting at first, but they will definitely carry you further than ever before.

Lately, with Circles becoming so focused on off-road, we’ve been hearing a few whispers of “I’m starting to feel like riding a road bike again.”
Whether you have a road bike gathering dust in your warehouse or not, why not gear up your feet and head out to slice through the spring breeze?
