【BIVO】Is it still in time?! I went and had some shaved ice.

Hello everyone.
It’s Taisei.
This summer was just so hot!!
But before I knew it, things have started to get chilly.

I had originally planned for everything to be ready by summer, but there were delays with import procedures. BIVO is finally back in stock—and while I know it’s a bit late for this, I wrote a blog post about a ride I wanted to do this summer (lol).

That ride was...

Titled, "I put ice in my BIVO and made shaved ice in the great outdoors!!"

Man... way out of season!!
But it was seriously so much fun, so I hope you'll read about it!!

Gifu is on fire.

My partner for this is here. Penkichi-kun from Amazon...
He looks worried, like he’s wondering where he’s being taken while all tied up.
But he held on strong throughout the ride, so he’s got grit.

Since the forecast for the day of the ride was 35°C (95°F), I knew I had to jump into a river. So I aimed for the Itadori River in Gifu, starting from the Roadside Station in Mino City!!

Just riding was boring, so I added a mountain pass climb. It was fun, but incredibly tough...
Personally, I get a kick out of John devouring an ice cream at a roadside station along the way.

Time for shaved ice!!

We crossed the pass and reached our intended river-dipping spot. But the river water was way too cold, and all we ended up doing was dipping our feet in (lol).

The Itadori River is no joke.

Pulling ourselves together, it was time for my main event: the shaved ice! Even after riding for about five hours in the blazing sun, there was enough ice left in the BIVO to make some! (I ate about three cubes on that mountain pass earlier. My bad...)

And a major advantage of the BIVO is that it's unaffected by the outside temperature! In other words, you can drink cold water in the summer and room-temperature water in the winter. It’s a huge help since I don’t have to worry about my body getting chilled every time I take a sip of water in the coming seasons...

Time to shave!

I love the classics, so I chose strawberry flavor.
Eating shaved ice while feeling the beauty of nature was, in a word, exceptional!!
After that, I went back for seconds three times, making it a super satisfying shaved ice ride!

Here’s the route I rode this time!
The coming season has beautiful autumn leaves, so it's guaranteed to show a side of the scenery that’s different from summer!

After all, you can enjoy riding in any season.

How about you all go on a shaved ice ride next year by putting ice in your BIVO! (I’ll say it again, it’s out of season)

Keeping cold drinks cold means it also keeps room-temperature water at just the right temp, making this a reliable bottle for the seasons ahead. If you haven't tried it yet, please give it a go!
