It’s Da-chan, and my desire to shop never ends.
There’s only a little bit of this year left, isn’t there?
Is there anything you realized you forgot to buy this year?
I have so many things on my list that I’m lost as to where to even start...
This is sudden, but I’d like to introduce 4 items that I bought this year and absolutely love!
1. WILDE BICYCLE CO. Supertramp
The biggest decision I made this year led me to get my hands on the WILDE Supertramp!
After the SURLY Preamble I bought first taught me the joy of cycling, I felt a growing urge to play on even rougher terrain.
Just then, the Supertramp was released, and since it comes in sizes starting from XS, I felt like I just had to have it, so I decided to buy it.
Even though it’s an XS and should be small, my favorite thing about it is that it doesn’t look puny—it looks big and has a real presence.
The Supertramp has become a reliable partner for my adventures!
I’m looking forward to learning even more ways to have fun with this bike.
2. KING CAGE Titanium Cage
I had decided that if I were to buy a bottle cage next, it absolutely had to be a KING CAGE, so I picked this up at the same time as my Supertramp! I chose the Dropper version due to frame space constraints.
A point I subtly love is that it holds everything, from plastic bottles to Nalgene bottles, firmly in place.
Being able to carry a plastic bottle when I’m just out for a casual ride is genuinely helpful in such a simple way!
Since I put a titanium cage on my Supertramp, Sei-san laughed and asked, "Why are you only saving weight there? lol," but that’s fine.
I mean, just the fact that it's titanium makes it feel like something special, and doesn't it just look cool unconditionally? lol
Titanium is light and strong, but it’s also packed with dreams.
3. BIVO Trio 21oz Insulated
BIVO, an insulated bottle that was a huge help this summer.
I first used it at this year’s OMM Bike and experienced its power firsthand.
Even after 2 hours under the scorching midsummer sun, the ice was barely melted.
So, being able to drink ice-cold water when you’ve been riding hard and have a parched throat is truly heaven.
BIVO has become a bottle I can’t go without in the summer.
4. BEDROCK SANDALS Mountain Clog Nubuck Leather
And last is this one!
Mountain Clog Nubuck Leather!
As I’ve started wearing them, they’ve gradually broken in.
When I first bought them, I thought, "Taking care of these sounds like a hassle..." but I’ve grown to absolutely love how the leather develops a rugged character as the oil settles in.
If they’re going to grow like this, I’ll happily put in the effort to care for them! lol
"But they’re sandals, aren't they going to be cold in the winter?"
I doubted it, but if you wear thick socks, they are incredibly warm.
As someone with poor circulation, I think I’ll make it through the winter with these.
The sandal life is so comfortable that I think I’ll be in BEDROCK SANDALS 365 days a year next year.
