Surly "Kratemonkey"

While 29er MTBs have a wide range of options available today, that wasn't really the case not so long ago. Surly's Karate Monkey has remained unchanged since those days. Despite having track ends, it comes with an RD hanger, making it a versatile bike that you can enjoy as either a single-speed or a multi-speed. Since the release of the more versatile Ogre, the Karate Monkey has undergone a minor change to become simpler and more rugged, doing away with V-brake mounts and moving to disc brakes only.

I’ve built up this Karate Monkey, based on a complete bike, featuring a fresh paint job by Kyutai Paint.

Surly “Karatemonkey” size:18″ Special Price:¥157,500

Though I say so myself, the paint was done by Kyutai Paint. The previous standard color for the Karate Monkey was “Battleship Grey,” but the key point here is that this shade is slightly darker. To top it off, we’ve luxuriously fitted it with a now-discontinued purple Chris King headset.

Since we’re at it, we’re also including a Philwood seat clamp.
Even though it’s based on a complete build, the assembly is flawless, featuring Avid BB7s, Truvativ cranks, and SimWorks Getaround handlebars. If the size fits, this is undoubtedly a great deal. Don't miss out!
