We will be holding a pre-order event for the new barefoot shoes, Trail Worm.
Sample sizes will only be available in 27cm, but this is one of the few opportunities to see the actual product. We have prepared a dedicated size chart to help you check your size.
Please note that pre-ordered products will be delivered in installments starting around the end of May.
The event will run for five days at our Tokyo store from Friday, March 7th to Tuesday, March 11th, and for four days at our Nagoya store from Saturday, March 15th to Tuesday, March 18th.
Many of you may already know STOMP LOX because Ron, also known as ULTRA ROMANCE—a co-founder of ULTRA DYNAMICO and famous for his long hair and beard—is a dedicated user of the SLAK model.

The collection includes the SLAK SPD for clipless pedals and the SLAK for flat pedals. During the POP UP, each model and size will be available for you to try on and purchase on the spot.
The look of the SLAK fits perfectly with the casual style we wear every day. Because they lack the tight, restrictive feel of many clipless shoes, they are also comfortable for those with wider feet or higher insteps, allowing for a natural fit based on the actual shape of your foot. Their high-quality domestic manufacturing is also a huge draw.

The Trail Worm was born from Ultra Romance's request to create the ultimate barefoot shoe, making it a completely new model distinct from the SLAK.
Unlike conventional shoes, barefoot shoes have thin cushioning soles and are flexible enough to be rolled up by hand.
They also feature a zero-heel-drop design—meaning there is almost no height difference between the toe and heel—to provide a "barefoot" sensation. Additionally, the wide toe box design allows your toes to move freely without restriction. This helps recover the natural joint function and primal muscle strength of the feet, which may have atrophied from wearing high-performance shoes.
While there are many shoes being called "barefoot" these days, the softness of their soles has always been a source of stress when cycling and pedaling.
However, the Trail Worm comes with both a cork insole for daily life, running, and hiking, as well as a reinforced plastic insole for cycling that allows you to pedal firmly. You can swap them out depending on the situation.
The Trail Worm is STOMP LOX's definitive answer to Ultra Romance's request. Delivery for pre-orders will vary by size, with shipments planned for the end of March and the end of May. While pre-orders are currently available on the STOMP LOX website, many of you will likely want to see them in person. Production is limited due to domestic manufacturing, so don't miss this opportunity!

STOMP LOX History / From the Brand Designer
Back in 2010, there weren't many cycling clipless shoes that fit my personal style. All that was available were designs resembling soccer cleats, meant to go with road bike jersey styles, and as someone who wanted to ride in the clothes I liked, I started rejecting clipless shoes.
Time passed, and in 2015, I had the chance to share a bar counter after work with a shoemaker who had trained in Italy. As we talked, it hit me: "If it doesn't exist, I'll just make it!"
STOMP LOX is a coined term derived from "STOMP"—to stomp and dance on the earth—and "LOCK"—as in the pedal and shoe being fixed together.
And that is how the STOMP LOX story began.
