We combined this rim with the Track Hub, also from Velocity, which offers an excellent total balance of rotational performance, weight, and design at a reasonable price.

What is a wheel in a bicycle? It is an important part for a bicycle to move forward, and it has a great influence on the appearance of the bicycle, since it is said that "fashion starts from the feet up". Wheels" are such a very, very important component. This time, I would like to talk about how they are assembled, not about their performance.

In the world of bicycle wheels, there are two types: "fully assembled" and "hand-assembled.

Complete assembly" is a wheel that is sent out by the wheel manufacturer as a finished product, and we, store mechanics, rarely have to make major adjustments to the wheel. (Some wheels need to be fine-tuned, and some wheels need to be hand-tuned.) Because of this structure, some wheels are adjusted for a specific group of people, or for professionals or professional-level riders, and are not made with each individual customer in mind.

This is where Circles' specialty, "hand assembly" comes in.

The advantage of "hand assembly" is, as the name suggests, that the parts that make up the wheel are selected one by one and assembled by our mechanics to complete the wheel to fit the user just right.

We do not want to make a complete wheel that is assembled to the same specifications, but a better wheel that reflects the will of the rider and the assembler.
