Description

When you want to match your favorite old frame with modern wheels, or when you dare to inch down a 700C frame to put on bigger tires. If only the brake legs were a few millimeters longer, I could reach them...! GIZA PRODUCTS' "Offset Brake Shoe" is the savior that solves this hopeless clearance problem without replacing the caliper.

Normal brake shoes have the rubber positioned right next to the bolt, but these shoes are designed so that the rubber is offset (lowered) by 10mm from the mounting bolt.

This allows you to effectively extend the reach of the brake arm by 10mm while maintaining the beautiful shape and pull of your favorite brake caliper (or cantilever/V-brake).

I want to put slightly larger tires on my road bike, but the shoes rub against the sidewalls of the tires.
I want to convert my old 26-inch MTB to a 650B (27.5-inch), or vice versa.

These are just a few of the niche and functional ideas that are more than ever useful for those who are particular about building and restoring bikes that are not straightforward. Since it is compatible with Shimano and other common cartridge-type shoes, it is easy to replace the rubber (insert) inside when it wears out.
