DIA COMPE DC 980 F/R Set

One type of brake that seems like it might disappear but likely never will is the cantilever brake. In response to many requests, the DC980 has been revived. While it is somewhat reminiscent of Campagnolo’s CX cantilever brakes, this model actually has a longer history and is popular for its simple, sharp design.

Beyond its design, ease of adjustment and braking performance have been significantly improved compared to the 80s when the DC980 was first created, and toe-in can now be set easily. The long arms provide wide clearance, making it compatible with mudguards and wide tires.

The DC980 is an excellent cantilever brake that is sure to perform well on a wide range of bikes, including vintage MTBs, cyclocross bikes, and randonneurs.
