A Masterpiece of Road Tubular Rims, Pushing Lightweight Design to the Limit

MAVIC’s iconic tubular rim, the “ REFLEX.”
By combining “Maxtal”—a proprietary high-strength, lightweight aluminum alloy—with SUP welding, which creates a smooth finish at the rim joints, it achieves a high-level balance of lightness, stiffness, and durability. The ride feel—which faithfully converts pedaling power into forward momentum while still offering a touch of suppleness—is one of the reasons it has been beloved by many riders and wheel builders for so many years.

Its streamlined, low-profile shape and refined appearance make it a perfect match for classic chromoly road bikes. Paired with silver components and American-style tires, it blends naturally with frames of any era, giving the entire bike a touch of elegance. For those who refuse to compromise on either performance or appearance, this is MAVIC’s iconic, classic rim—highly recommended for hand-built wheels.
