In 2010, Peak Design successfully raised funds on Kickstarter in the United States and made a name for itself in the world of photography. Capture, which appeared in the world as that product, was an epoch-making product for founder Peter Dering to eliminate the dissatisfaction when shooting outdoors. “Whenever I was skiing and wanted to take a photo, I stopped, stuck my poles into the ground, unstrapped my backpack, lowered it, pulled out my camera, and vice versa when I was done… I couldn’t do that every time. The moment you want to take a picture is gone in a blink of an eye.” Based on that experience, he came up with a way to easily access the camera at any time and safely carry it, designed it, and made it into a product. Funded by people with many of the same concerns around the world, the product was successfully commercialized, and now the Capture has been upgraded and is loved by people around the world, including outdoor photographers.
