When wearing a waterproof shell, rain can enter the shell through the face, cuffs, zippers, and seams. The Rain Hoodie eliminates zippers, and a special pattern eliminates seams at the shoulders and chest. We have minimized the number of seams by using luxurious fabrics and reducing the number of parts as much as possiblE
The seams of the waterproof shell are seam taped from the back to prevent water from seeping through the seams. However, seam tape is not very durable, and water penetration through the seams is inevitable as the tape deteriorates over timE
Therefore, we have adopted the latest ultrasonic welding technology for sewing rain hoodies, which uses ultrasonic waves to melt and weld fabric to fabriC This minimizes flooding from the joints of the fabrics as much as possiblE
The Rain Hoodie not only relies on the waterproof and breathable function of the Pertex Shield/Shield Pro, but is also roomy around the body and neck to allow for efficient ventilation of heat and moisture from the body during activities.

Pertex Shield Pro (PU Sosui) is a hydrophobic porous membrane of polyurethane (PU). The term "hydrophobic" refers to its ability to repel water, while "porous membrane" refers to the membrane's mesh-like structure with numerous microscopic pores (holes).
These microscopic pores are large enough to allow vapor to pass through, but not water. Pertex® Shield Pro is extremely moisture permeable because the vapor in the garment dissipates directly through these pores.
