The M70R2 is a genuine Shimano high-performance brake shoe set that brings out 100% of the performance of V-brakes and provides absolute peace of mind even in the toughest situations.
Developed as a genuine product for the DEORE XT grade (BR-M770) of authentic mountain bike components, this product uses a premium compound (high-performance rubber) that boasts top-class braking power among Shimano's V-brake shoes.
The greatest feature of these shoes is that they are not easily affected by weather conditions. Even on sunny days, riding in heavy rain that rolls up mud, or on trails that are clogged with mud, they grip the rim firmly and enable sure deceleration and stopping. It is a more reassuring ally under the feet of heavy touring bikes fully loaded with luggage, or cross bikes that support the rigors of daily commuting.
This is a cartridge type that includes an aluminum base (boat) and shoe. Once this set is installed, it will be possible to replace and refresh it economically by sliding "only the rubber (insert) inside" next time.
