The SHIMANO SPD-SL is the most popular road pedal in recent years, and is widely used by everyone from top professional riders to general cyclists. The SPD-SL is designed in the lineage of road racing models, following in the footsteps of higher grade pedals, and despite its low price, it looks as good as the top models. A stainless steel plate is placed on the tread surface to protect the body from abrasion caused by attaching and detaching cleats.
