Description
The ASCENT, one of Ritchie's signature models from the bike brand founded by Tom Ritchie, who led the movement in the early days of mountain biking, has been updated with a new boost standard, additional eyelets, and a mount that allows for the installation of a dynamo light.
The classic ASCENT, which has changed styles over the years, first as a mountain bike and then as a touring bike, is back in the lineup, this time as a more adventurous bike, more suited for off-road touring riding.
The ASCENT is constructed from Ritchie's signature triple-butted Logic steel and Tig welded together. In addition to the standard bottle and fender mounts, the newest model has bottle cage mounts under the downtube and on the fork, as well as an additional mount for a dynamo light.
In addition, both the fork and rear end have been modified to Boost standard (110mm front, 148mm rear) for increased rigidity (15mm through-axle front, 12mm through-axle rear), and both the 29"/27.5" wheels now have clearance for 2.6" wide tires. Clearance has been secured for both 29-inch and 27.5-inch wheels to accommodate 2.6-inch wide tires, making them more specialized for off-road driving performancE
The geometry is inherited from the previous generation, with a versatile design that can be used with either drop bars or flat bars. The bike can be customized to suit the rider's style and preferencE Compared to the OUTBACK, a gravel bike that falls between road and MTB, the new ASCENT is also a bike more suited for off-road riding.
