Paul Components has been manufacturing bicycle components in a renovated garage in Chico, California since 1989, which was a former oil distribution facility for Texaco Oil until 1926. Paul believes that great products should be based on simple ideas, easy maintenance, and a high level of functionality.

This is a masterpiece of cantilever brakes that combines the strongest braking power of the Mafac Tandem brakes of yesteryear with state-of-the-art maintainability. The spring tension is infinitely adjustable, so you can make the pull as light as you like.

The braking power is also unmatched, making this brake suitable for a wide range of applications from touring bikes to cyclo-cross bikes.

When setting up a PAUL brake setup, we recommend the Neo Retro brake for the front and the Touring Canti brake for the rear, which has less opening and does not interfere with your feet when pedaling.
