The knit is a perfect blend of merino wool and BRING Material™ (recycled polyester), which combines the natural moisture and heat regulating properties of wool with the quick-drying and durable properties of polyester. It is soft to the touch with almost no prickling, so it is comfortable even when worn directly against bare skin.
The greatest feature of this half-zip model is the zipper that extends to the chest. This allows you to adjust the amount of hot air inside the garment by simply opening and closing the zipper, keeping you comfortable even during activities when you tend to perspire easily or in situations where the temperature changes greatly from day to night. It is also easy to put on and take off, and there is little stress when putting your head through it.
The hood is balaclava style and wraps around the neck to provide extra protection from the cold. On cold mornings or windy days, it can be worn as a blindfolded hat or as a substitute for a neck warmer. Thumbholes on the cuffs protect the wrists from cold air while allowing for unobstructed movement during activities.
The distinctive uneven knit fabric creates a layer of "dead air" inside the body, which enhances heat retention while allowing moisture to escape when the wearer gets sweaty.
