In 1965, orthodontist and powder eater Bob Smith began handcrafting double-lens goggles in his home warehouse out of breathable foam. The SMITH brand started when I started selling skis at resorts in Utah and Colorado on the weekends as a hobby. Even now, many processes are still handmade in factories in the United States, but the founder, Bob Smith, started the brand with the idea of making goggles so that he could always concentrate on riding. In 2013, the long-awaited bike helmet entered the industry with the lightweight, energy-absorbing and breathable impact protection Koroyd® system, which was a huge hit. Even now, more than 50 years after its founding, the products prove that the craftsmanship that focuses on play and always tries to embody that important idea has been inherited in Smith.
