Hello, this is Eri from the Circles web shop photo team!
Today, I’d like to introduce our new arrivals and stock wheels from our original wheel brand, Gorilla Spun, along with an announcement about a special campaign! (Details on the campaign can be found at the end of the post.)

What is Gorilla Spun?
The hand-built wheels crafted by Gorilla Spun, our wheel-building division here at Circles, are defined by our ability to help you find the perfect match based on your riding style, preferred ride feel, bike compatibility, budget, and timeline.
Whether you’re looking to keep costs down, adjust your ride quality by changing spokes, or simply want to know which wheels fit your bike, we solve those problems and bring your ideal wheels to life.

Wheels, including the rims, are components that significantly influence the overall balance of your bike, from the feel of the ride to pedaling responsiveness. Just like choosing your handlebars or saddle, selecting the wheels that align with your riding style can open up a whole new world once you hop on the bike.
You can take your time choosing each individual part to build them up, or pick from our original stock wheels. Enjoy the endless combinations available with nipples, spokes, hubs, and rims!
Now, let's introduce some wheels to serve as inspiration for your next order!
VELOCITY Aero 700c x VELOCITY Dynamo Disc / Race disc

This wheelset combines the VELOCITY Aero, perfect for nimble riding from pavement to gravel, with the VELOCITY Dynamo Disc hub, which supports long rides and touring with stable power generation.
The Aero works great with tires around 28c to 35c; its excellent cruising performance and snappy acceleration make it an ideal rim for road-focused gravel rides, fast touring, or all-road bikes. The VELOCITY Dynamo Disc hub begins generating stable power from around 15 km/h, supporting lights and charging devices for night riding, bikepacking, and long-distance touring.
More and more people are choosing dynamo hubs as a way to enjoy riding to the fullest without worrying about their lights.

We recommend this for a touring-spec build of a high-speed gravel bike like the WILDE Rambler SL. Riders looking for a challenge want to be able to ride wherever their heart leads without worrying about power sources.
Pair it with TERAVAIL Cannonball Light & Supple tires to make it capable on rough roads and expand your touring horizons this summer.
GORILLA SPUN Build Wheel [HED Belgium R Disc Rim 700c x TUNE KillHill & ClimbHill]

The combination of HED Belgium R and TUNE KillHill / ClimbHill creates a wheelset that makes any bike feel incredibly light.
The biggest feature of the Belgium R is its versatility, with support for tire widths from 23c to 58c. The balance is exceptional, especially when fitted with 30–38c tires, providing road-bike-like nimbleness on pavement and plenty of security on gravel.
By combining the supple, sharp ride of the HED Belgium R with the overwhelming lightness of TUNE hubs, you get a nimble feeling that will make you want to take the long way home on everything from long road rides to gravel adventures.

Build these onto a bike like the SURLY Midnight Special, and you’ll be able to transition seamlessly between pavement and dirt with ease. These are wheels for those who want to use tires that aren't too wide and want their pedaling power translated into a lively, fun ride.
GORILLA SPUN [VELOCITY Quill × CHRIS KING Boost 6-Bolt Front Hub x CCB Track Wheel]

Honestly, these wheels weren't born purely out of a pursuit of efficiency.
The motivation was simple: "I want to use a CHRIS KING hub on a fixed-gear bike."
CHRIS KING is a brand with a long history, but they don't make track hubs. So, normally, you'd think they were off the table.
But we believe the reason we at Circles love bikes as tools is because we can try things that are "usually not done."
The CULTURE CLUB CCB-001 was born from that very line of thinking. By using a Boost front hub on the rear and setting it up as a fixed gear, the logic seems simple, but when you actually build it, it feels strangely just right.
We paired it with the VELOCITY Quill.
When you hear "track bike," you might think of skinny tires, but with this wheel, you actually want to fit tires in the 30mm to 40mm range. There are days when you just want to cruise the city, and others where you want to take the long way through the dirt. It has a depth that feels just right for a modern track bike.
"If it doesn't exist, just build it."
This wheel is packed with the very spirit of cycling fun.

[SPEC]
Tires: Clincher, Tubeless Compatible
Brake Type: Rim Brake
Axle Type: Rear 10x100mm Bolt-On
Spoke Count: 32H
Perfect for bikes like this!

The compatibility is perfect with frames like the SYCIP Urban Track Bike, which combines the nimbleness of a track bike with the freedom of an ATB. By retaining that direct, track-style acceleration while adding the security of wider tires and the supple ride of the Quill, it finishes as a machine that can go anywhere.

By the way, the last remaining RITCHEY Gardencity 2026 model (the red version in the photo), which is perfect for this wheel concept, is currently in stock at Circles TOKYO.

This is likely the world's first full-color printed rim tape for clinchers. It was an extremely "extra" vibe, and we really pushed the factory hard to make it... they said it was something they'd usually decline. Always appreciate you, guys.

During the campaign, we'll be including one random set as a gift for anyone who orders a stock wheel, custom wheel, or rim! They might go on sale someday, but don't be surprised by the price if they do...
You could even just use them like cute stickers. Please enjoy them however you see fit!

Whether you want to match a certain bike, are looking for a specific ride feel, have a certain budget in mind, or need a 26" rim-brake wheel—please feel free to consult us about anything related to wheel building.
