Thicker than a typical merino T-shirt, the 100% merino wool material is as strong as synthetic fiber blends, and its natural temperature and humidity control and deodorant functions will keep you comfortable even if you cannot change your clothes for days under extreme cold and heat conditions.
This is a classic Yama-michi T-shirt with a classic design that blends in both in the mountains and in the city.
Wool has excellent properties such as natural moisture control and deodorant functions that keep you cool in summer and warm in winter, but on the other hand, it has the disadvantage of low strength and low durability. To compensate for this, many merino fabrics are blended with synthetic fibers, but the functionality of wool has decreased in proportion to the blending ratio.
In order to maximize the functionality of the wool, Yamaido has made a 100% merino wool fabric that is as strong and durable as a synthetic fiber blended fabric by using "twin yarn" merino yarn, which is made by twisting two yarns together to increase the strength and durability of the wool.
The fabric was developed with a team from Bishu (Aichi and Gifu), a major wool production area in Japan, and the Australian merino yarn was spun, twisted, and dyed using Japanese technology, and knitted in Bishu.
