CLYDESDALE CARGO FORK brings old bikes back to life
The CLYDESDALE CARGO FORK / CLYDESDALE CARGO FORK was created with the clear intention of valuing the idea of reviving old things. The wheel size is 20 inches (406 size), and the position of the rack has been lowered significantly to allow a large amount of cargo to be loaded.
Furthermore, the fork legs are offset toward the front at the rack position, so the center of the rack is directly above the front wheel axle, and this, combined with the low center of gravity, provides outstanding stability.
The rack can be used with either V-brakes or disc brakes, so you can replace old MTB parts with new ones. There are no stoppers for brake outlets, so you will need to do some DIY if you want to install cantilever brakes.
Usage is limitless, depending on your ideas.
Since dowel holes are provided at the four corners of the rack, you can realize your various ideas, such as stacking and fixing plastic cases or extending the loading space by stretching wooden boards.
With this fork, you can turn an old bicycle given to you by your father or a mountain bike sleeping in the corner of your house into a daily cargo bike that can stably carry large loads, using many of the parts that are originally included!
The bike must have a fork length of 400mm before installation. If the original fork length is shorter than that, the frame will be raised forward and the bottom bracket will be higher. If longer, the frame will be lowered and the bottom bracket will be lowered.
The fork itself is also heavy, and the load from braking increases when loaded, so it is not recommended to install on lightweight road frames, carbon frames, etC For safety reasons, child seats cannot be installed on the rack.
Cane Creek 1" forks come with a Cane Creek 1" headset. Cane Creek 1" headset is included with the 1" fork.
