What is the Balance Control System?

Seven introduced its first dual suspension bike, the Pendere, over 20 years ago. This bike featured a 4-bar linkage, a feature that has carried over into our latest dual suspension designs. We then offered progressive suspension bike lines, including models such as the Duo and Duo-Lux. For these models, we collaborated with Paul Turner, founder of Rock Shox and Maverick. Over the decades, we have also worked with other suspension experts, and while trends and technologies have evolved, the basic requirements of a full suspension bike remain the same: the need for a stable climbing platform and a dynamic shock absorption system.

Seven's Balance Control System (BCS) project applies the knowledge gained from over 20 years of experience in a new way. Seven's BCS suspension platform incorporates the established classic 4-bar linkage system, but offers the ability to customize and adjust the bike in a unique way.

The result is not just one bike, but a platform for creating the perfect bike to fit your riding style and personal preferences.

Here are the key points

  • All BCS models are available in 27.5" and 29" variants.
  • They can be optimized for competition tire widths and higher volume tires.
  • Bikes can be adjusted across categories in terms of geometry.
  • It can be built to fit 1x or 2x drivetrains.

This is how Seven brings customization to production suspension bikes, and there are more versions and options offered by Seven than any other suspension system seen to date.
