Shovel Research was created in the fall of 2022 as a long way to say “dig”... an oblique contemplation of what it means to understand, and a series of experiments conducted in deference to the simplicity of well-refined tools.
This project is a nights ‘n weekends owner-operated business focused on making, skill acquisition, sharing joy and produced by Sal based in here Portland, Oregon.
Sal is a parts maker, also a frame builder pays close attention to even the smallest details which is expressed in her work.
She also cares about the environment and uses recyclable materials in her packaging, which can also be used as campfire fuel.
